Call for Abstracts

This is a call for abstracts of presentations and panel discussions to be considered as part of the third annual IMF/Geocortex User Conference, April 20 – 22nd, 2008, in Victoria, British Columbia.

Presentations are invited that address subjects of interest to Internet Mapping Framework and Geocortex Essentials (and other Geocortex software) users. Presentation ideas will be evaluated based on their relevance to attendees.

The objective of the conference is to provide GIS-related information and educational opportunities for a variety of IMF/Geocortex licensees in business, government, or education.

We will select session presentations to represent a wide range of interests and levels of expertise. Selection will be based on the value of the proposed topic to the audience and the clarity of the abstract.

Two types of presentations are available:

  • Individual presentation, allotted 25 minutes
  • Panel discussion, allotted 60-90 minutes

Abstracts should be limited to no more than 300 words, and should include: presentation title, author information (please include complete contact information), and level of technological background required to determine value. Remember, a clear concise abstract is your best ticket to a logical track placement and a well-attended session. All applicants will receive the pertinent information within a few weeks of the deadline.

The abstract submission deadline is March 14, 2008.
